Looking for a great way to kick off the fall? Come join in the celebration of Lowell’s 2012 Sustainability Week running September 22-29th. The goal of the week is to magnify Lowell’s accomplishment of being a green community while encouraging community involvement.
Over 20 different activities have been planned for the week that are sure to reach out to everyone!
Families will love fun-filled events such as Riverfest. Enjoy music and performances from local entertainers for a great day. Other activities planned for the week include cycling, kayaking, movies and more. Kids will enjoy playing games and getting plenty of exercise with all their friends.
Non-profits will have the opportunity to generate funds for their organizations. Register for the GLCF River Bike-a-thon to obtain financial support. To register your non-profit, click here!
Show your support for your local community by attending the Farmer’s Market. Buy fresh produce and vegetables, crafts, dairy, and meat. Help keep your family healthy while endorsing our farmers and artisans.
The week will conclude with the Harvest Festival, which will tie together green bushiness with family fun. Enjoy food, garden tours, games, and more!
