All summer, we have been highlighting the efforts of residents, businesses and organizations for their outstanding work as Adopt an Island volunteers.
This week, we travel to Hosford Square in Back Central to acknowledge David and Dina Koch and Maria Labao for their outstanding work. They have trimmed shrubs, planted flowers, and picked up trash to keep their area clean. The area they adopted over seven years ago includes two islands: the Edward J. Santos Memorial and the O’Keefe Circle.
Thanks to their hard work and dedication, Hosford Square is a warm and welcoming island that provides a sense of community to Back Central. Make sure to take the time to view their island and the community space they’ve created.
